Hollenbach is a U.S. Army Veteran, and man of many talents. He served in the
Army from 1965 to 1967 at Fort Knox, Kentucky, Fort Bliss, Texas and in the
802nd Engineer Battalion at Camp Humphries, Korea.
After fulfilling what he considered his military
obligation he was hired as a Tech Illustrator at Marion Power Shovel Company and
soon became a Communications Specialist there where he served as a Tech
Illustrator and Tech Writer, producing the company‘s Machine Operating Manuals,
as well as the company’s monthly tabloid-sized employee newspaper, Shovel Talk,
and Marion Power Shovel’s product literature.
In 1970 he designed Marion’s Sesquicentennial
Medallion. In 1974 he became self-employed as a Graphic Designer and Tech
Illustrator, and later, owner of AdMan Printing, Dave Hollenbach Advertising,
and DHCSigns.
Today, Dave continues to provide advertising,
graphics and sign services as a freelancer to businesses in Marion and nearby
communities. An internet enthusiast, he also offers a cost free research and
listing service to individuals and dealers for selling automobiles, trucks, RV’s
and boats on the internet.
