Shop Giving Away Flowers for National Good Neighbor Day
The Marion Flower Shop is hoping residents of Marion will take the opportunity to meet each other and develop new friendships when the store participates in the 16th annual Good Neighbor Day event on Wednesday, September 1.
Beginning at 8:00 am on Wednesday, Marion Flower Shop, 1045 East Church Street, will give away 1000 roses, a dozen at a time, absolutely free to anyone who visits the shop. The giveaway will continue while supplies last.
However, there is one catch. Anyone who picks up a dozen free flowers will be asked to keep one of the flowers for themselves and give the others away to 11 different people – spreading goodwill and friendship in the community.
“We hope that the people of Marion will be able to get acquainted with new people or will renew an old friendship during Good Neighbor Day,” states Marion Flower Shop in a release. “We hope to help create a friendlier, more caring and compassionate world, starting right here in Marion.”
Good Neighbor Day is being celebrated for the 15th year throughout the United States and Canada at participating FTD floral shops as a day of celebrating goodwill toward all people. Joining the efforts at Marion Flower Shop are local sponsors, who have pitched in to help make FTD Good Neighbor Day a truly successful and “neighborly” celebration. It is expected that hundreds of FTD Florists in North America will participate in this year’s Good Neighbor Day event, giving away millions of free flowers.
