Morral Man Killed in Early Morning Crash

Troopers from the Marion Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a one vehicle fatal crash that occurred Friday at 2:00 am. The crash occurred on Marseilles-Galion Road just west of Conley Thompson Road in Marion County.

Christopher E. Huddle, age 20, of Morral, Ohio was driving a 1997 Mercury Mountaineer eastbound on Marseilles Galion Road. The preliminary investigation indicates that he drove off of the right side of the roadway, overturned and was ejected from the vehicle.

Huddle was pronounced dead at the scene by Marion County Coroner Marc Comianos.

Marion Post Commander, Lt, Chuck Jones said, “This is another senseless traffic tragedy in Marion County. Our hearts go out to the family of Christopher Huddle.”

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Salt Rock Fire Department and Stofcheck EMS. 

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash and no safety belt was in use. The crash remains under investigation.
