Tpr. Spalding Promoted at Marion Patrol Post

Tpr. Brandon D. Spalding was promoted to the rank of sergeant Monday by Colonel John Born, Patrol superintendent, during a ceremony at the Patrol’s Academy. Sgt. Spalding will transfer from his current assignment at the Bucyrus Post to serve as an assistant commander of the Marion Post.

Sgt. Spalding joined the Patrol in June 1999 as a member of the 134th Academy Class. He received his commission in December of that year and was assigned to the Bucyrus Post where he was selected as Post Trooper of the Year five times - 2002 and 2003; 2008 and 2009; and 2011.

Sgt. Spalding resides in Bucyrus.
