The Star Players are proud to announce the addition of a bonus show for their 2011-2012 season, Musical of Musicals (the Musical!), music by Eric Rockwell and lyrics by Joanne Bogart.

In this hilarious satire of musical theatre, the classic melodrama story of a girl who can’t pay the rent to the evil landlord and needs help from her matronly friend and heroic boyfriend becomes five delightful musicals, each written in the distinctive style of a different master of the form, from Rodgers and Hammerstein to Stephen Sondheim.  Musicals satirized include The Phantom of the Opera, Oklahoma!, Sweeney Todd, Hello, Dolly!, Cabaret, and countless others!

Production dates are March 3, 7:30 p.m. and March 4, 2 p.m. at the Star Theatre in Upper Sandusky.  Tickets go on sale in February and may be reserved by calling 419-294-1411.

Musical of Musicals (the Musical!) is produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
